Miss America 2013 winner Mallory Hytes Hagan was crowned last night at a ceremony held at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Mallory, representing New York, beat off stiff competition to take the coveted crown, less than a month than Miss Universe 2012 was announced. After American Olivia Culpo scooped the Miss Universe prize last year, and Miss USA 2012 en route to picking up the ultimate accolade, expectations were high for Miss America again this year.
