If you give someone suffering from this rare disorder a date they can usually tell you what they were doing that day, and even what was happening in the wider world. They can often do the same for nearly every day of their adult lives.

Unlike others in this list, hyperthymestic syndrome is more of an ability than a disability. The handful of people known to have it can live perfectly normal lives. Furthermore, if you were to get out an old black and white family photo from the 1960s, they might tell you when and where it was taken, what the weather was like and what they ate for supper. Get one of them on your pub quiz team and you’ll be quids in.
